    - A 5000+ acre park, not only is Ringwood State Park one of the largest but also mountain bike friendly.
  • Patriots' Path -
    - Patriot's Path is what you might call a work in progress, but there are many monumental stretches that are perfect for an all-day outing. Even better, the developers have sought to preserve the land surrounding the Whippany and Raritan Rivers to mitigate the effects of construction on the Path.
  • Henry Hudson Trail -
    - This fascinating trail was once a part of the Jersey Central Railroad. After years of neglect, this testament to urban decay was reclaimed by the Monmouth County Park System and has revived its natural beauty.
